Storm and Flood Damage Reporting Form

This form allows residents and business owners to report damage caused by the severe storm and flooding on July 18 and 19, 2026.

Completing this form helps the City assess community-wide impacts, support applications for disaster financial assistance programs and plan future infrastructure improvements. If you intend to seek financial compensation, reimbursement, or recovery of insurance costs directly from the City, this form also serves as your official notice of claim.

Please Read Before Submitting

This form is strictly for flood-related impacts occurring on July 18 and 19, 2026.

If you experienced flooding or water damage outside of these specific dates, please do not use this form. Contact the City directly to report separate incidents.

Not a Financial Assistance Application

This form is for gathering data on local impacts to help the City assess the scope of damage throughout the community. The City's application for provincial disaster financial assistance is currently under review, and official relief programs have not yet been confirmed. Submitting this form does not constitute an application for funding.

Insurance Requirements for Future Relief

If disaster relief funding becomes available, residents will be required to pursue coverage through their private insurance first.

  • You must submit a claim with your property insurance provider prior to applying for disaster assistance.
  • If your claim is denied, or if specific damages are not covered, you must obtain a formal letter from your insurance provider explicitly stating which items or damages are uninsurable. This letter will be required to qualify for future relief funding.

Use of Information

Information submitted may be reviewed by city staff and the City’s insurance adjusters or legal counsel to assess infrastructure response, support disaster response planning, and assist with municipal risk and claims management.
