Prior Posts
On March 31, 2023 the City took possession of the former Pioneer Lodge property at 513 3rd Street W. The sale between the City and the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) was for the price of $1. There were additional costs to taking possession including just over $7,000 to process the title transfer, and ongoing costs for utilities, security and minor maintenance.
The City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the re-development of this property on May 17, 2023.
The tender is open for anyone interested to offer not just a purchase price, but also to provide a proposal to Council on how they would develop the property and their intended use or uses. Proposals will be evaluated among other things, on the best fit for he neighborhood and best value for the community. The RFP closes June 30th, 2023.
The City aims to have the property sold by fall of 2023 and transferred to the new owners shortly thereafter. If no qualified or suitable proposals are received the City will consider their options for moving forward at that time.
